Programs 
The North River Commission partnered with the LISC/Chicago Great Neighborhood Fund and Alderman Richard F. Mell, 33rd Ward, to bring vibrant, new street pole banners to Albany Park. The banners welcome all to “Albany Park: Gateway to the World” and span Lawrence Avenue from N. Central Park Avenue to the Chicago River.
The banners were created by Lukacz Warda, an artist originally from Poland and a student at NEIU, whose design was chosen through a local artist awards competition. Warda collaborated with the North River Commission’s Arts Committee to create the banners and would like to thank Deanna Krueger and the rest of the Northeastern Illinois University Art Department for their support.
