Over 130 community leaders, representing hundreds more, met to celebrate accomplishments, discuss important community issues to work on in 2009, and vote in the 2008-2010 NRC Board of Directors at the 2008 NRC Annual Meeting which was held on October 28, 2008 at Mayfair Commons Senior Housing Development. The meeting started with a performance by one of our newest members, the Chicago Children's Choir. A number of pieces, including an African Tribal song and a Korean lullaby, were performed by the Lincoln Park Neighborhood Choir. NRC partnered with the Chicago Children's Choir this year to open and promote a new neighborhood choir in Albany Park.
